I can't believe this is happening You only said one word and now I'm tripping You always said to stay away from this jumped up lovey dove parade You told me not to worry but I do, I think I love you

Two hundred and fifty miles Is a long long way for a dream to be sent But I don't use no cable wires I plant it in your heart and wait for the sun to come out again Snow collecting on rooftops, crystallized raindrops All a blur as they go racing by Light reflecting off a snowflake, makes my heart ache Cuz it reminds me of the rainbows in your eyes In your eyes, eyes, eyes, eyes Two hundred and fifty miles Is a long long way for a dream to be sent But I don't use no cable wires I plant it in your heart and wait for the sun to come out again

When you're done with your TV show, please remember to say hello The world is waiting for you When you get your eyes off the screen, away from that silvery sheen, I mean what else can you do All your life sitting around like a sad clown, wondering why you're so lonely When in reality your life is only A single thought away, it's your heyday what'll you do today, you're really something special if you try Now go and live your life
5.
Follow you, I will follow you Through the halls of your mind I'll follow you, you don't have to go alone On your trip through space and time

[verse 1] Another car with a broken window passing me by on the open highway Another smashed-up package of dreams flowing out with the tide on an empty beach Saw the shadow of a shallow footstep cover a face that I've seen before Like a misty apparition floating just beyond my reach [chorus] One day we'll all be side by side, in a mystic snowstorm when we die And the blood in our hearts will turn to foam, and flood a world we call our own And the pain will spill out from our brains, and we'll laugh as it circles round the drain And the air in our lungs will turn to fire, and we'll laugh till nothing remains

I said I'd never leave you, in the car all alone I said I'd never leave you, with your heart all aglow I said I'd never leave you, a long time ago And I won't I said I'd never leave you, on the day I depart I said I'd never leave you, with a hole in your heart I said I'd never leave you, and tear us apart And I won't

[verse 1] I am waiting for the time when we can be alone I am waiting for the time when we can have a home I am waiting for the years to pass and multiply I am waiting for the time when we can be alive [chorus] I am waiting, I am waiting for the break of day I am waiting, for the time when we can break away I am waiting, I am waiting for the break of day I am waiting, for the time when we can break away

One day I woke up, with that feeling that you get sometimes The sky is just the wrong shade of red, and all the clocks are showing the wrong time Something's different, something definitely changed last night A disembodied voice called to me, and this is what it said, it said "All right!" [Chorus:] The show is over, we timed thisngs a little funny tonight How did you notice, perhaps the lights were running too bright You weren't supposed to figure this out, that this was all a play for you Usually the audience is fooled the whole time, but we messed up and you saw through I took a step back, and asked a question that occurred to me Who wrote this play then? Must be someone who dislikes reality I called off stage then, said "Who are you man, who has the time?" I squinted harder, and then I saw the face, and it was mine [ Chorus ] Out of one car and into another, whether you're a fighter or a lover That's all that ever really happens, call it by one word or another If death is coming don't call for your mother, it's intermission, get up If you see the light at the end of the tunnel, they're just bringing the house lights up So am I dead then, is that really what this means today? How'd I do then, as an actor in this stupid play? The answer echoed, he said "I was hoping you would know" I shrugged my shoulders, grabbed my bags and said "I have to go"
